Ball bounce

Ball bounce


Objective:

In this experiment our objective is to study the motion of a bouncing ball using a CBR detector (calculator based ranger). We will measure the distance between the detector and the bouncing ball. Collected data will be stored in a graphing calculator and can be analysed either with the calculator or with a computer, using previously collected data.


The analysis can be performed in different ways. We suggest four methods to analyse collected data where different aspects of the physics behind the ball bounce will be highlighted.
